From September 11 to 13, 2024, the 25th China International Optoelectronic Expo, a premier exhibition show in the optical and imaging industry, recently concluded with a remarkable display of technological advancements and innovative solutions. Guide Infrared made a stunning appearance with over 80 products and solutions. At the event, Guide Infrared launched the 5-megapixel HOT mid-wave cooled infrared detector. It showcased 3 leading infrared camera cores, night vision telescope with dual-field lens, infrared perception intelligent driving systems, and some cutting-edge products and solutions like comprehensive smart emergency solutions.

One of the highlights of Guide Infrared’s presentation was their new series of high-resolution infrared cameras. These cameras boast exceptional image clarity and sensitivity, enabling precise detection and analysis even in challenging environments. The enhanced performance of these cameras promises significant improvements in safety and operational efficiency for industries reliant on infrared technology.

Global Debut: 5-Megapixel HOT Mid-wave Cooled Infrared Detector

“This detector spans multiple disciplines, including chip materials, integrated circuits, low-temperature cooling, and packaging testing. It is currently applicable to aerospace, border safety, and other application scenarios,” a Guide Infrared representative told the Securities Daily.

This is the world’s first release of 5-megapixel HOT mid-wave cooled infrared detector by Guide Infrared. It features a super high resolution of 2560×2048 for real-time monitoring images, providing a wider field of view and higher field coverage. It has a pixel size of 10μm, which makes more compact device architecture and greater spatial resolution, making it more suitable for wide-area long-distance detection. It provides users with unparalleled panoramic detection and situational awareness capabilities. With a focal plane operating temperature of up to 150K, its HOT performance is at the forefront among similar products.

Cutting-edge Infrared Camera Cores

Guide Infrared also showcased 3 cutting-edge new products, both cooled and uncooled.

The FLEXB608 ultra-micro infrared camera core is currently the smallest core in China. With a resolution of 640×512 and a pixel size of 8μm, its size, including the lens, is only 14mm×14mm×21mm, and its weight is less than 7.5g, with a power consumption of 0.5w. It is primarily suitable for lightweight system integration applications that have strict requirements of size, weight, and power consumption.

The FLEXA1212 high-definition uncooled infrared camera core is the first wafer-level ultra-small size core exhibited by Guide Infrared. It has a resolution of 1280×1024 and a pixel size of 12μm, measuring 27.8×27.8×19.6mm, featuring ultra-lightweight and ultra-low power consumption characteristics. It is mainly applied in power inspection, security monitoring, and other fields.

The LF330Z3-LC4 is currently a leading VOC (volatile organic compounds, including formaldehyde and benzene) gas leak detection infrared camera core in China. After integration into the whole device, it has large detection range, long distance, and high efficiency. It is applicable in petrochemical, natural gas, and related industries.

One Thermal Imager, Two Fields of View

At the Guide Infrared booth, it showcased the latest night vision equipment: TJ series. It adopts an integrated design with dual-field lenses, featuring focal lengths of 20mm and 60mm.

The 20mm short focal length is suitable for wide-area searches, enabling quick target identification in complex environments and detecting camouflage. While the 60mm long focal length provides a longer observation distance, obtaining clear thermal images at long range, helping to accurately identify and observe targets. At the same time, the 3× optical zoom capability can detect weak thermal radiation emitted by targets over 3100 meters away, continuously presenting high-definition thermal images.

The dual-field lens enhances concealment, improves search & rescue efficiency, and increases response speed and safety, providing significant advantages in applications such as wildlife observation, search and rescue, and law enforcement.

From entry-level to professional-grade, covering general fields to specialized areas, the handheld temperature measurement product series exhibited by Guide Infrared meets diverse temperature measurement needs, covering various complex scenarios, attracting many experts and users from home and abroad for hands-on experience.

Vehicle-mounted Infrared Camera Can Be Retrofitted

The N-Driver U302 300,000-pixel vehicle-mounted infrared camera was also a “star” product at the expo. The recently launched first luxury pure electric MPV Land Airbus” L380 by Geely is equipped with this product. Through intelligent algorithms, it can accurately identify pedestrians and vehicles, easily coping with complex weather conditions such as rain, fog, snow, sandstorms, and strong glare, ensuring that “wherever the eye can see, there is safety,” helping the L380 build a mobile safety fortress.

In addition, various special products with different resolutions were simultaneously displayed in the infrared perception intelligent driving system exhibition area, featuring various interfaces and flexible installation, allowing for quick retrofitting. These products can be widely applied in passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, special vehicles, advanced driver assistance, low-speed unmanned driving, and autonomous driving fields, ensuring safer and smarter driving.
