DESCRIPTION

The LWIR (Long Wave Infrared) series cooled infrared detectors are specifically designed to operate in the long-wavelength infrared range, typically from about 7.7μm~9.4μm. LWIR can penetrate atmospheric moisture and fog better than shorter wavelengths, allowing for effective imaging in adverse weather conditions. These detectors are cooled to reduce thermal noise, which enhances their sensitivity and performance. They are available in resolutions of 320×256, 640×512, 1280×1024, and pixel sizes of 30μm, 25μm, 15μm and 10μm.

It adopts the world's leading T2SL technology which ensures high quantum efficiency and excellent performance. Type II superlattice sensitive material provides superior sensitivity to infrared radiation, enabling the detection of even subtle temperature variations. This is crucial for applications requiring high precision. These materials allow for a wider and more tunable wavelength response, making the detector effective across a range of infrared wavelengths, particularly in the LWIR spectrum.

Without fear of interference, the LWIR series infrared detectors are suitable for target detection in complex background, such as ships on the sea in the scene of light reflection on the water surface, aircraft in the background of clouds in the sky, etc. They can be integrated into sophisticated imaging systems, often used in in many high end applications such as Hand-held Reconnaissance System, Remote Monitoring System, Search & Tracking System, Enhanced Flight Vision System, Electro-Optical Payload, Spaceborne Electro-Optical System etc.
