Yole Développement, the internationally renowned market survey and strategic consulting firm, has launched its latest industry analysis entitled Thermal Imagers and Detectors 2020 – COVID-19 Outbreak Impact – Preliminary Report. The report reveals that in 2020, the global infrared thermal imaging market exploded. Regarding shipments, U.S. company FLIR ranks first with a market share of 35%, with Guide Infrared ranking second with a market share of 17%. For the first time a Chinese manufacturer has landed in the top two, becoming the largest of its kind in China with the highest market share.

In the first quarter, Guide Infrared is expected to book a profit of 17 million to 22.6 million USD 120 million to 160 million yuan, expanding over 20 times from 840 thousand USD 5.97 million yuan in the same period last year.

Guide Infrared has donated GUIDE IR Fever Warning Systems to Japan. The automatic infrared thermal imaging systems with AI algorithm provide efficient and accurate non-contact temperature screening and alert operators when a fever is detected -- valued at over RMB1 million (approx. US$144,000)

CES, the annual consumer tech show in Las Vegas, is the one of the biggest technology event over the world.
